Once you have selected seed and transported to your farm, you need to take a few precautions before you put them in the tank. Seed need to be sanitized as they might be infected. The fungus is commonly found on fish seeds. This needs to be taken care of before releasing fish seeds in Biofloc Tank. Using Potassium permanganate is the most common method of sanitizing fish seeds. Check the color of water it should not be too light or too dark. Check figure 6 for reference. 8-10 liters of water will be enough for 1000 -1500 seeds. Fill a tub or bucket with Biofloc tank water. This will be used to rinse the fish seeds before releasing them into the tank. Step 2 Dip seed for 3 times for 1 t

How much Molasses to be added in Biofloc tank? Join us for more https://www.facebook.com/BioflocFishFarmings If total weight of the fish in tank is 100 kg and feed is given 4% of their body weight which is 4 kg and this feed contains 30% of protein. 1.5 kg of molasses will be added daily. In a simpler term "molasses will be  40% of the feed” That’s quite enough if you understand this bit, but if you still insist for more detail you are welcome to read on  What is ammonia? A colorless gas with a characteristic pungent smell, which dissolves in water to give a strongly alkaline solution. Where does ammonia come from in Biofloc tank? Ammonia is the waste from the feed. Fill the tank, install the  aeration  pump and leave  aeration  for 2 days.  Do not mixing anything in the water at this stage, this will take care of PH parameters. After two days check TDS fist, you will find it low at the range hanging between 300 – 800. this is natural to find TDS at level low. The recommended level or TDS is 1800.   This is the most suitable level for Biofloc and it should not exceed 2000. Salt increases TDS. To bring TDS to 1800 you need to add sat. You might ask What salt to add ? because there is confusion between Raw Salt and Rock Salt. I don’t know why but the

Biofloc fish farming tarpaulin tank installation

After you have finished the civil work for leveling the ground and making the outlet and drainage channel. you can setup a frame to support water. Join us for more https://www.facebook.com/BioflocFishFarmings There are two way to make tank frame, one by using 8mm rods with 6 X 6 inc gap, this will be quite heavy-duty frame and provide good strength to the tank. Another way to make a farm is by using mesh available in the market also used in the poultry frame. This could also be a good solution and probably the cheaper one. This frame could not be as strong as one using the 8mm rod, but this will also do the job. Now when the frame is done up to your satisfaction, cover the inside of the frame with fiber sheets or thick tarpaulin to protect tarpaulin tank from any kind of possible cut or damage from iron mesh or rods. Use thick enough sheet to protect the tarpaulin of the tank to prevent any direct contact with the iron mesh or rods of t
