It is difficult to avoid fish diseases completely, it is better to try to prevent it.   Note: This part is only to give you a general idea about the common diseases. These are three main causes of disease: Improper feeding.  Be careful with fish feed. Lack of nutrition in feed can make them more vulnerable to disease. Also, Toxic factors in an artificial food, any kind of unsuitable chemicals, fungus in stored foods,  pesticide can also cause damage.  Stress due to hard handling.  Most of the damaged occur to the seeds while handling , in harvesting or in transportation. Rough handling damages the skin and open wound has heigh chances of catching fungal deceases, if not taken care of on an urgent basis. Indian government Policy for Biofloc:  So far the government hasn’t recognized it hence there is no official training, subsidy, a loan or other financial assistance is available. There is news that government officials visited Biofloc farms on the invitation of some farmers. So far there is positive feedback. Hopefully, the government will soon have a policy on Biofloc in some states.
